My reflection about Computer Mediated Communication (week10)

Image
Computer-mediated communication (CMC) has significantly changed the way we interact with one another, offering greater flexibility and convenience. However, it also raises concerns about potential miscommunication and a loss of emotional connection, largely due to the absence of non-verbal cues. While CMC allows individuals to connect across long distances and encourages inclusivity, it can also lead to challenges such as diminished social skills and a heavy reliance on text-based interactions, which can affect the quality of relationships. Additionally, the dynamics of online communication platforms can influence behavior and group interactions, underscoring the need for digital literacy to navigate and communicate effectively in an increasingly interconnected world.

NIKI's song "Did You Like Her In The Morning?", particularly  in the context of romantic loss and emotional turmoil, deeply reflects the denial stage of grief.  Its lyrics delve into post-breakup feelings of inadequacy and insecurity, which unveils a pr...

Subtlety of Purpose (poetry)

Subtlety of Purpose Its twelve o’clock in the night, Still confused and uncertain what my future might Am I in the right path?’’ or I am just a side character for someone’s life. All the realization came up in my messy head; Everything matters like a single string of a thread, Fabricated meticulously, To be fancied and aid people’s necessity.

Quietness of the Morning

There's a stillness in the mornings that no other time of day can rival. Before the world wakes and the noise starts, there is something almost magical about the early hours. The streets are quiet, the air feels fresher, and time seems to stretch, offering more than it does later in the day. For me, mornings are a reset. The sun is creeping through the blinds to paint the room in gold. The first sip of coffee tastes better than any drink I'll have today, not because of the flavour, but what it represents: a fresh start. There's this clarity about the morning where thoughts freely flow, and I write best, dream a little more, and let my mind wander without distractions. Ideas feel sharper, emotions softer, and the worries from the day before seem to fade into the background. But mornings weren't always my favourite. I used to sleep through them, waking just in time to rush into the chaos of the day. It wasn't until I began carving out space to enjoy this time that I r...
