“You are the Captain of your own Ship of Jessa Amante” (an inspirational narrative)

“You are the Captain of your own Ship of Jessa Amante” Life is like a sailing ship in a deep, wide sea. Extreme storm waves and currents may be encountered inevitably, but be positive and focus on the direction of your journey. Jessa, a graduating student from BSED-Mathematics, shares her journey, surpassing those tragic, big waves of problems. It was a roller coaster, yet an inspirational and interesting life story. She survived those events by thinking positively and remaining faithful to God. Thinking negatively about your problem will lead you to stress and even to your downfall, but thinking positively will make you realize how God creatively wrote your story as a captain of your own ship. Having a mother by your side is the most precious gift from above, and no one can replace it. But things did not run smoothly like you expect in a Disney movie. At the age of seven, her mother died, and it is the most heartbreaking event to handle for a kid. At that age, many realizations had come up in her life, and it made her a responsible daughter and a strong eldest sister. But then again, as a sailor, you will encounter strong waves; their fish retail business had fallen to bankruptcy, and they lost everything. But it did not hinder Jessa’s dream, and it even made her stronger. In order to fulfill her dreams, she takes on a role as a working student. She started as a gas station crew member and later found a job that could cover her basic needs, including educational expenses and family contributions. She managed to overcome all of those situations by leaning on her faith and the support of God. According to Jessa, “Never give up on your dreams. Even amidst difficulties and challenges, it's easy to feel burdened. Still, don't give up and don't lose hope. Most especially, don't forget to pray, because prayer is the best shield that you have to fight all your problems. Believe in yourself and trust God. At times, life may seem unfair, but I've come to realize that I was mistaken. Despite the difficulties I've faced, I'd still choose the life I have now. It's shaped me into a responsible, faithful person capable of enduring any obstacle. Through these experiences, I've encountered God, my savior, transforming me into someone I never thought possible. That's why giving up on life is never an option, especially when you have God guiding your path, ensuring you'll achieve what He has planned for you. Always remember that His plans are better than yours. So believe and have faith in Him.
