Disembodied Identity

          While doing the task, it is easy first to maintain my identity as a “stranger”. It’s easier to express thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. However, it is also difficult as misunderstandings can arise more easily in text-based conversations, which might distort my identity while communicating. The way of constructing my identity, I used the reflection of personality based on experience, mentioning specific questions to connect like-minded individuals, and my values in social circles to express the thoughts of other people.
          Well for me, I can say that while doing this task, I have successfully constructed my unique “disembodied” identity. As a student of CMC, the important learnings that I have gained from this activity are the significance of personal information, keeping proper online etiquette, following the rules of social media, being mindful of your tone and language, and avoid engaging in negativity or conflict.
