Poetry- A girl who keeps being invalidated (week 4)

A Girl Who Keeps Being Invalidated

In deep shadows, she walks alone,

Where whispers weave in hushed tones.

A gentle heart, a flickering flame,

Yet every word feels like a game.

She shares her thoughts, her dreams take flight,

But is met with scoffs that dim her light.

“Just silly notions,” they all say,

As hope withers day by day.

The laughter rings, yet she stands still,

A yearning soul, a quiet thrill.

With every tear, a story hides,

Of battles fought and unturned tides.

Yet in her core, a strength remains,

Like wildflowers amidst the pains.

For though they seek to pull her down,

A phoenix rises from each frown.

“Your voice is small,” they claim with glee,

But she knows well, she's meant to be.

A tapestry of vibrant hues,

Not just a canvas for their views.

So let them speak, their words may sting,

And yet, within, a tempest springs.

For every doubt, they cast her way,

She spins her dreams, come what may.

In the night, she finds her song,

A melody that feels so strong.

For in her heart, she knows the truth:

Her voice is power, her joy, her proof.

And though invalidated, she will rise,

With every tear, she'll touch the skies.

A girl who shines through endless strife,

Turning each moment into life.
