    What is Computer Mediated Communication (CMC)?

Computer-mediated communication or CMC pertains to forms of communication that utilize electronic devices like computers and smartphones. It facilitates interactions between individuals through social media interaction, email, video calls, instant messaging, among others. It is characterized by the absence of physical cues in comparison to face-to-face communication. CMC can either be synchronous or asynchronous , making it very convenient and accessible.

In today's generation, computer-mediated communication plays a pivotal role in various aspects of personal and professional life as it provides different  modes of interaction that enhance connectivity across distances.
